Wow! The email has been flooded by attendees of the conference regarding this subject so it just have been good. The notes and materials are available. It includes components, goodies, materials we used to prepare and research, demos and more. Waste today playing around with everything and find new and exciting ways to extend your Flash applications and browser.

In addition there is a new forum you will definitely want to check out called Flash Platform Developers Community Forum. It is geared towards higher end development using Flash and Flex. It is also a place to post questions regarding this topic. Tyler and I want to thank you for the comments and hope you have fun with all of the things we are sharing!

The FF06 notes are now available for download. In addition, I have added a document just to go over everything again. I think you will find all the information useful and hopefully it all makes sense. There is a new forum that you can post questions to specifically related to multilingual flash applications. The links to the files and forum are listed below. Once again it was great talking to all of you and I have appreciated the flood of positive comments coming in through the blog and email!

FYI: I am making some changes to the site so that when the notes are delivered there will be a forum for any questions / discussion. They will be posted up on Friday. I am also adding some additional notes for things that were not discussed or covered due to time. Thanks for your patience. Check back on Friday for the notes for both sessions. Thanks. Rob
I wanted to thank everyone for their comments on the two sessions I presented at Flash Forward. I am working on gathering up the examples in an orderly manor. They will be available this next week for download. If you have any questions regarding either session, feel free to contact me. Also Fontastic will be available for download this next week along with the other components demonstrated.

Thanks again. Hope you had a great FlashForward week. I met some new friends and it was incredible to see the amazing things that were being done by the Flash community!

Flash Forward 2006

Filed under: Articles — Robert Taylor at 8:04 am on Wednesday, September 6, 2006

This week I will be doing some final preparations for the Flash Forward conference in Austin, TX and then next week I will be presenting on two topics: Browser Power for Flash and Multilingual Flash Applications. I hope both to be informative and motivational! New videos will not be released during this time. I will be posting up the final video to the Getting Primitive with Data Types. After Flash Forward, there will be some great improvements to the site! Many of you have written in suggestions and I have carefully considered each one. I hope that you will find the new changes ameable and intuitive.

I will also be conducting a survey regarding the direction of the site, topics and expansion. So be looking for that in the upcoming newsletter. In the meantime, if you are planning to attend the conference, be sure to come up to me and tell me who you are! Have a great week!
